Kindy's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!!

What a morning we had in Kindy today. It started off quite simply by me sharing the horrible events I experienced today leading up to school starting. While doing so, I remembered one of my very favourite children's books. It is called, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. We went down to the library to ask Mrs. Wills if we could borrow the book. With the book in hand, we proceeded back to our room and shared this wonderful story about a boy who experiences some unbelievably horrible things during one entire day. (Ask your child to share with you some of the funnier parts of the story!)

We liked the book so much,  we decided to make a list of what we thought a horrible day might look like.

My sides still hurt from laughing through this entire exercise. The Kiddoes and I had a blast using our imaginations. Mrs. Wills came down to the room so the Kiddoes could share with her what a terrible day in Kindy may look like. Homework for tonight is to think of the most terrible, horrible thing that could happen in one day. Tomorrow, we are going to make a class book with our reading buddies!!
