FRICTION! I learned that friction is when you rub two things together such as wood and rock. You can measure friction in newtons or pounds or any other type of measurement of weight. If your rub your hands together and its hard to move them its friction happening. It you control certain variables it will turn to different measurements. Like if you kept the same object the same but different surfaces (we did this)the measurements will be different each time.
