World Histroy Fair World history has made up the building blocks of our modern day lives. This has effected how we think or why we have changed our behaviors, practices, and beliefs over time. For the world history project my topic was Bushman rock art. Bushman rock art is basically cave paintings made by the first inhabitants to South Africa, the Bushman people. My guiding question was, how has Bushman rock art effected modern day art? The most interesting part of the project for me was doing the research because I enjoyed learning about this important part of the African history that I did not know ever existed. I found it interesting to see the many different animals, landscapes, and actions the Bushman people drew. I also found it interesting that although the entire Bushman culture was eliminated, it was revived through the Bushman rock.
I learned several things during the World History Fair. I learned about the Roman lifestyle, the compass, slavery, and about the importance of cats in Egypt. I also saw a lot of cool 2D and 3D displays. I saw a replica of Medusa's head, and it was really cool. One of my favorite displays was a colosseum made of cake. I also liked my friends display of a paper mâché cat it was so fluffy and cute. Overall I really enjoyed this years World History Fair.
