Hey Juliet

Sing It Out

Do you know a song that relates back to the story Romeo and Juliet? The song that I picked is called "Hey Juliet" by LMNT. This song talks about Romeo and Juliet, but do you believe this song has an accurate allusion of the passage?

This song talks about a guy who loves a girl who doesn't really notice him, but he wants to be her Romeo. He says how he's begging her to be with him, how she's so fine, and how he wants to run away with her. She doesn't even acknowledge him when he says "hey hey Juliet."

I believe that this song doesn't have an accurate allusion of Romeo and Juliet at all. He says how he wants to run away with her, which does some-what resemble the passage, but it says how she doesn't even notice him. In the passage Juliet loves Romeo and wants to be with him all of the time.

Do you agree why I believe that this song doesn't have a good portray of Romeo and Juliet? I believe that it doesn't at all. Now it's your turn to find a song that has a good or bad representation of Romeo and Juliet.

I believe that you are correct when you say this song doesn't correctly portray Romeo and Juliet.

This is very well-written, and the song seems interesting. Unfortunately, most refrences to Romeo and Juliet tend to be innacurate, like the ones this song.

I never heard of the song, but I'll check it out! More than likely to poke fun at it though. Nicely done though.

I totally understand how it differs. I think you hit the nail on the head with this blog.

Lauren I've never heard this song, but it sounds really cute!! From what you described the song as I definitely agree with you that the song doesn’t have an accurate portray of Romeo and Juliet.

Good job Lauren, I would have to agree that it doesn't have a good portrayal(:

I agree this is a good example. That is usually what happens they go unscene.
