Snails!!!! What I know about the snail?

~They are all the same sex.
~They leave a slimy trail.
~They have a shell.
~They all vary in sizes and color.

What I want to know about the snail?

Why are snails so slimy?
Why do snails only eat plants?
Can snails live without their shell?
Do snails have feet?
Why do people eat those nasty things!?!?
