From the Trenches Dear Mum and Dad,

Today my friend got shot - I got his gun and shot the Turk back. Then I went to help my friend, but he was already dead. I felt sorry for him.

When my other friend got shot I got my shell and threw it at the Turks. I ran to help my friend out and I was shocked that he was bleeding. I got a bandage, and he was about to faint.

Then the Turks shot me, so I am coming home, wounded.
