The affect that advertising and marketing has on an individual’s identity is becoming overwhelming. When you look around you see a wide variety of styles some are more extreme than others, depending on who you ask. I know this first hand, I have a female friend who has like six different colors of hair, piercings in places on her face that most people would see in a negative light, and approximately nine-teen tattoos. This is just her style but she always falls victim to ridicule and harassment by the different types of marketed drones. Even when you look in schools today kids are constantly being bullied or harassed by other kids for the way their dressed, or just because of their style in general. All this is caused by the advertising and marketing of products, the way it’s done. Advertising has affected everybody by making it seem like if you don’t have these clothes you’re not cool or if you don’t have a PlayStation three your probably poor, and these kinds of things are what give people self-esteem issues and it all stems back to the way marketing companies advertise. People need to remember to be themselves and that these advertisements are just trying to get your money, so spend your money on who you want to be, and not on what the marketed drones think you should be.

aww James I completely agree that everyone should be themselves and some people try too hard! I agree with marketing & advertising being a big part of that as well. There's too many products out there and surgeries you can get and all the stupid commercials or ads that make some people think. They don't make me think tho, I don't worry about it too much. There has been too much bullying going on and still is.. it's too bad that some people can't just accept who they are and what they like to wear or do. That was harder for me to do when i was younger in school.. but after growing up i realized what people think doesn't matter aslong as you're happy.
