Roomtwelve.com in the media
I'm very proud of the work my students have posted here this year, and over the past 6 years. They have pushed the envelope, and many have worked on their writing well beyond the school day.
A few weeks ago I was invited to go down to a local TV/Radio station complex in Seattle, to help promote a grant opportunity for teachers - and classrooms interested in doing some cutting edge work with technology. So I went.
Since then, I've been broadcast on the radio, and I have been seen on TV ads for this website: centurylinkteachers.com. Here's the video:

Jackson!!
Wonderful to hear from you. I just voted for your teacher. Wonderful to hear you are continuing to do well at school. I remember well your prolific blog in that first group, 05-06. Keep up the good work, and thanks for the comment! - Mr. A.

Hey Mr. A! I saw this video when I was voting for my LA teacher Mr. Kahn from Garfield High School. This video reminded me alot of when I was in third grade and we were the first class to do the blog in 05-06. I am now a freshmen at Garfield and I'm in honors and AP World History. I hope you guys keep doing this, it was always really fun!

Mark, I wholeheartedly agree with you about the importance of students creating and then sharing content on a blog. It gives them an authentic audience other than whoever walks by the refrigerator. We have been using student blogs almost like an e-portfolio and they take pride in sharing with the world. Keep up the good work; you are doing great things with your students.

Way to go, Mark! We're sold on student blogging and I think it's one of those methods that will be relevant for a long time to come. It's flat world!

Mark - That was a very concise, well stated description of kids and blogs and learning. I'll definitely show this video to my teacher education students + your blog! -- Terry
