Westminster Woods Poetry
My class and I went to Westminster Woods for a week. When we got back to school I wrote poetry about my trip. Here are some of my favorite poems:
Hike
The strong scent of bay leaves
The chilling bark of the famous madrone
The fallen leaves of a Douglas fir tree
The birds softly chirping, filling the air with beauty
Enchanted by the forest’s elegance
Puddles
Muddy, dirty
Splashing, drenching, soaking
Pleasing kids who wish to get wet
Small pond
Waterfall
Beautiful, loud
Trickling, flowing, escaping
Lake, river, food, dinner
Repulsing, disgusting, sickening
Burnt, gross
Vegetable Patty
Rain
Constant, misty
Annoying, irritating, un-ending
Refusing to disappear
Precipitation
Redwood
Colossal, intriguing, brightly colored, mighty, strong, evergreen, famous
Redwood
