The skills I have been practising with the minor assignments are definitely paying off as I work on this major assignment. Making a rough copy first is something I never use to do, but now that I am implementing that, I find that the idea’s are flowing more quickly and my pages fill up a lot faster than when I try to write everything perfect the first time.  I know that writing comes more easily to me when writing about something that interests me personally, so when preparing for my major assignment I was sure to choose the quote that most interested me on a personal level. I picked the two stories that I thought applied to the quote the most and re-read them and highlighted any area’s that I could refer to and use examples. I make sure to carry a pen and paper on me at all times so that whenever I randomly think of something I can use in my paper, I can write it down and work it into my rough copy when I get a chance. I know I’m very behind in my project since I had a very busy Easter weekend at home, but I am trying to catch up.

To ensure I will meet the outcomes of this assignment I am paying close attention to the assignment outline while writing, and will be checking my work for mistakes repeatedly before handing it in.
