Athletes are Paid way to Much!!! In sports the players are paid millions in one year just to play like 60 games for almost three to four months. All proffessional athletes are paid way to much!
Baseball players are paid millions of dollars every year to hit a ball with a wood bat and through a ball around. What's that about? But, after all of the millions they dare get an attitude if something goes wrong and embarresse their whole team. For example, in 2010 Troy Tulowitzki of the Colorado Rockies was upset that he didn't hit a ball so he though his bat at the ground, but, the bat shattered and cut his hand and had to get sixteen stiches.
In football, they are payed millions to run back and forth on a field with a ball and to tackle or get tackled. But, in the end they get extremly hurt and think they are all that and a bag of chips because they are some big shot football player. For example, Patton Manning has just come back from a neck surgery and he will go in for the first game and get hurt then be out for the rest of the season. But, even though he will be on a bench he will still have to be payed over a million dollars for doing nothing. An example of attitude is when Elway the coach of the Denver Broncos traded Tim Tebow away because he thought people liked him better. So he traided his best quarter back away because he was jelouse and thought he was better than Tebow.
Also, I believe that the athlete should really only paid that much if they went to the olypics. But, even then they still take advantage of that like Michael Phelppes. He had worked so hard and went to the olympics to swim but he took advantage of all he was making a earning and got caught using steroids then lost everything.
In all, proffessional athletes should be payed way less! Mabey even as much as the average working man. Because in the end they end up hurt, with an attitude, or useing steriods and screwing everything up. Plus, it is just a game, they don't need to be payed so much for doing something that they like and is fun.
