Racism Then and Now As I watched the Ernest Green movie it seemed… cruel and rude. The nine of them were treated as non-human; they were treated with a lot of disrespect. People treated the Little Rock Nine as if they were not welcome or not able to be at that school, even though it wasn't the people's decisions. Also, some people treated them nicely which made them feel a bit better. Those people gave a warm welcome and didn't mess around with them. Also, if I was Ernest, I would probably leave the school. I wouldn’t have the courage to stay at the school if I was being treated like that. Also, nowadays people are still racist, but not as bad as back then. Most of the racism now is mainly jokes and stereotypes.
