I found a quote that "speaks to me" “Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind.” John F. Kennedy. Here is my “Interpretation Poem”
War
The death of one man is a tragedy; the death of millions is a statistic
Only the dead have seen the end of the war
All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers
When the rich wage war, it's the poor who die
War does not determine who is right, only who is left
In peace, sons bury their fathers. In war, fathers bury their sons
The victor will never be asked if he told the truth
The first casualty when war comes is truth
You can no more win a war than you can win an earthquake
