Bog #1
My first impression of this class was WOW what a large class! I had attended a class at this location for the first term so the building was not new to me. When I seen the teacher I thought, hey she is young that’s a good sign, should be a refreshing new style of English class compared to what I remembered from high school. I did not know what to expect on the first day, what kind of work we would be doing? Maybe we will read some books, I was looking forward to that as long as it was a good book that kept my interest. Write an essay explaining our opinion about the book. I was sure there would be class discussion and probably some dreaded public speaking. I was very surprised that we would be doing a weekly blog, yickes writing stuff for how many people too see! The course outline is definitely different than what I thought we would be doing but I am looking forward to gaining positive writing skills.
I will succeed as an adult student. I plan on attending all if not most classes and will complete all of my work to the best of my ability, failing is not an option for me.

I had the same thoughts about the size of the class because I haven't had a class this large either. I have already taken a different grade 12 english course, and my teacher then was young, too, so I knew that I would be happy with this teacher as well. I find I get along with younger teachers better and they have a better understanding of my learning style. The blog thing scared me too, because I am normally very, VERY, very private about my writing, and I find I have to think so much more about what I am going to say because everyone sees it. I guess it is helpful, though, because we can learn from other student's ideas on the material and the class itself.
