 gimmmmeee' the moneyyyy. Marxism criticizes texts and songs that judge and separate people because of money, but celebrate work that shows that all classes are equal. In the song, “Price Tag” by Jessie J she expresses that she believes that the world shouldn’t be judged by money. Another reason, Marxists would celebrate this text because she is explaining why she thinks price shouldn’t be an effect on people and the world shouldn’t be separated by money. It states in the song, “It’s not about the money, money, money. We don’t need your money, money, money. We just wanna’ make the world dance, forget about the price tags.” She is saying money shouldn’t separate people in the world so you shouldn’t separate people by money amounts. Another quote from the song that Marxists would celebrate would be, “Why is everyone so obsessed? Money can’t buy us happiness.” She’s saying that you can’t buy happiness with money, so why is it the only thing people worry about. In cocnlusion, Marxists would celebrate this text because it doesn’t judge others because of money.
