Food Fight
In the kitchen, above the messy den
During lunch
Into the bright red tomato soup like little bullets
Between he chair, in sister’s knotted hair
Past the soiled hall, out the colorful, artistic stained-glass door
On mother’s angry face
Into her smoky ears
Like a force, beneath the ground
Past the mashed potato walls, into the kitchen
To the suspicious, terrified kids
“To you rooms!”
