After that, Hugo goes to live with his poor uncle who keeps the clocks running at a train station just to survive.
Also, marxists would criticize Hugo because Hugo struggles to survive when his uncle runs off and nobody notices. Hugo starts to steal food and drinks from vendors & people from the station. Hugo gets no money to live on. Also, Hugo lives in the walls of the train station.
