Persuasion
Hello!
This week in writing we have been focusing on persuasion. We have decided on topics, developed a thesis, and constructed our three supporting reasons.
In class you recieved a Time for Kids article "In the Middle." After reading this article use what we learned in class to complete your assignment:
- Develop a thesis on whether you think sixth graders belong in Elementary school, middle school, or a K-8 school.
- Decide on two reasons to support this thesis.
- Remember to keep in mind your audience when developing your thesis and reasons.

sixth graders in my opinian belong in middle schools because two reasons, one they will be able to get used to middle school. two they will be able to inherit meet and make new friends. they will also learn to communicate with eachother if they have a wide selection of friends. That is why i think that sixth graders belong in middle school.

I think that kids should go to middle school because...
1. So they can kind of get the feeling of lockers.
2. Also when they leave middle school they will be used to switching schools so when they go to high school they will be perfectly fine.
3. Last but not least when they switch of into different schools they will probably make more friends
I think the theme is to stick with your gut because some parents want their kids to go to school k-8 but sometimes other parents per-pressure them for their kids too go to Elementry, Middle, and High school. So what i think the author is saying is to let your kids go to whatever school they want.

I think 6th grade students should belong in elementary schools. First of all if they go to a K-8 school they might get bullied by 7th and 8th graders. Another reason is that it would be a bigger school and I wouldn't know where I was going. My last reason is I might even lose my locker combination and not be able to get all my books.

I think that 6th graders should be in elementre school. Because there still young and not old enough to be in middle school. They would probably get bullied by the older kis in middle school because 6th graers are very young and should not be middle school at that age.

I think 6th graders should be in Elementary School becauseā¦
They are still pre-teens and the teens need there space.
If it would be K-8th it would be to many people in a school and to confusing.

I think that 6th graders belong in a k-6 school. I think that because the school will be so much less crowded. Also, it will cost more money to send your kids to the k-8 school than the k-6 school.

My opinion is that 6th graders belong in k-6 schools because they might get bullied by 7th and 8th graders and they will learn more in a less stressful environment. Also, the k-8 schools and middle schools are more crowded which means bigger schools, more teachers, and also cost more money to keep the schools going.

My opinion of where 6th graders belong is in Elementary School. I think this because 1. They are more familiar with staying in one classroom and the transition to middle school would be to quick. 2. I think they will be less rushed in one classroom instead of going from room to room. This is what I think.

My opinion is that 6th graders should be in middle school. I think this because they would get to participate in more clubs and activites. Also, I think this because they would be able to go to diffrent classrooms and have diffrent teachers so you have a diffrent storie to share with each one. I know you you would probably would want them to go to k-8 school but my answer is whats best for them because you get to have more of an expirence

My opinion is that 6th Graders belong in a K-8 school. One reason is that it is stressful to go from the oldest to youngest in a year. Also, kids are getting better grades in Math and Reading because they are familiar with the teachers and how they teach.

My opinion on where should 6th graders belong is middle school. I think that 6th graders should be in middle school instead of elementary school because they can participate in more activities and be in more clubs. Also, I think that 6th graders should be able to switch classes all day and not just have one teacher the whole day because it kind of gets boring having one teacher the whole day because it makes you wonder like how it would be if you had lots of teachers everyday. And I know what you are thinking, 6th graders should be in Elemantary school because they are too young for middle school. But they actually aren`t. K-8 schools are good schools but I think 6th graders should be in middle school instead of elementary schools.

My opinion is that 6th graders belong in elementary school. One of the reasons I believe this is because 6th graders aren't completely mature to be paired up with older kids. The other reason I believe that 6th graders belong in elementary school is because they are better off being the Kings and Queens of the school, than being the youngest in the school.

before is started to red the packet it thought about the question that was on the frot cover "where do sixth graders belong,Elemetary school or middle school" and i think that sixth graders should be in elemtary school because they did not learn enough yet to be in middle school and you ae putting to much preshure on them and even after i read i thought the same thing that they are putting to uch prechure on them and they have not learned enough yet. So the answer to my question was they should not be in middel school untill after they finish 6th grade.
