We have three 6th grade Science classes and two 8th grade Science classes blogging here from the Pacific Northwest in Chimacum, WA! Sixth graders are learning a bit about Mt Saint Helens, environmental science through fresh water ecology, and physical science this year. Eighth graders are learning about life science this year. Bacteria By Jonny Bacteria in our school is everywhere. So James and I decided to do an experiment! We swabbed 4 areas of our school to see the bacteria growth. We swabbed the gym floor, the water fountain, the toilet, and the bottom of my shoe. The area that had the most bacteria growth was the gym floor. Therefor, the gym floor is the most contaminated part of the four parts that we swabbed.
