This blog is for Miss Jovanovich's algebra and geometry classes to share ideas, ask questions, and reflect on what skills and topics we are studying. If we are lucky, we might even get a chance to connect with other students studying the same stuff.

Scratch Programs

Have you ever heard of Scratch?  I hadn’t until just this week either!  Scratch is a educational website that allows you to program without having to learn all the complicated codes and such.  You can also browse the programs that other people have designed.  One of my favorite programs was done by mathjp, and is called JpStringArt_1.  Check it out by clicking the link below:

It consists of 360 lines connecting at 361 points.  Slide the first knob (n) to determine how many flat sides you want the shape to have.  Then, slide the second knob to determine the density of the lines.  The last two knobs vary the colors.  I chose this Scratch because I thought it was beautiful and playing around with the knobs to make new shapes is 100% addicting.  My favorite setting is 4-4 with the colors on 6-3.
