Conditions of Use

Poetic Effects Some of the “tools” that poets use to create effect in their writing would be tone, which expresses the writers attitude toward his/her subject. Maybe, imagery which consists of words that appeal to a reader’s five senses. Also others like similes, metaphors etc. In my poem "Blackberrying" Crescent DragonWagon, she expresses her and whoever she was with picking blueberries. She stated," Catching at us, scratching (and we got mosquito bites to). Obviously, she was saying it was fun but it was a bit itchy!!
