We have three 6th grade Science classes and two 8th grade Science classes blogging here from the Pacific Northwest in Chimacum, WA! Sixth graders are learning a bit about Mt Saint Helens, environmental science through fresh water ecology, and physical science this year. Eighth graders are learning about life science this year. Conditions of Use


Adult salmon

A adult salmon will feed and grow in the ocean for around eight years. They eat shrimp,squid, ect. Orcas, seals, and sea lions are big predators to the adult salmon. Humans also will kill salmon for food. They need to have a food source to survive. After around eight years they will go back to their birth place and spawn.
