Much to our room's delight, we received a special package all the way from Japan on our last day of school. A good friend of Ms. S who she used to teach with at an International School in Japan, had his kiddos decorate pictures and write letters to our room. We loved looking through the book and had a few giggles at some of the questions which focussed around how we celebrated our holiday. Since we didn't have enough time to make our own "class book" to send, we decided to write an email answering some of our new friends questions and asking some of our own!!! We have spent a great deal of time discussing what other kiddos around the world are doing, and it was our first experience in "reaching out" to others. Hopefully this will spark a new friendship!
