Sixth graders are learning a bit about Mt Saint Helens, environmental science through fresh water ecology, and physical science this year. Eighth graders are learning about life science this year. Fry

Right after they become a fry they rapidly vibrate their tails,they emerge from the gravel,then push themselves vertically up to the surface of the water. Frys are not
Strong enough to swim up stream so they find cool,
Calm pools to stay. There predators are birds and larger
Fish.
