I think Will’s dad helped Jim and Will because he was a typical father. Mr. Halloway cared for his son and just as any father wouldn’t want him dead or turned into a freak. Jim and Will rely on Mr. Halloway for help when they are in the grate. Jim says, “Will! our dad! Call to him. He’ll help us!” (Bradbury 170).

Montana, I think Mr. Halloway helped Jim and Will because he cared about them, wanted to do something extraordinary, and wanted a better relationship with them. pg. 256 shows how Mr. Halloway is getting closer to Will.
