 Hattie's Birthday Box They were living in a wagon and they did not have anything and they did not have jobs. It was hard for Otto and Hattie, they were so hungry and Hattie could not take it anymore. So Hattie told Otto, "I am going to open the box." But then Otto said, "No, we can do this." But Hattie said, "No I am going to open the box." And Hattie opened the box. She thought that there was going to be something that would be worth something and that they would have money to buy food. However, there was nothing in it, she wasn’t sad or mad. She was just normal. Finally Otto and Hattie got jobs and they had money to buy food. I hope you like my story.
