Yes I think he will ride the carosel because at the end he wants to get older and Mr.Dark is controlling him.

I am not really sure if Jim is going to ride the carosel before the end of the book. Since Jim is daring and went throught the mirror maze even thought Will told him not to, I think that he might ride the carosel.
