The Girl Who Spelled Freedom

The Girl Who Spelled Freedom

In the movie, The Girl Who Spelled Freedom, we watched a Cambodian girl named Linn Yang go through hard times and change. Some ways she changed was she originally was fearful of lots of common American things because she was a slave who lived in poverty and didn’t have any technology. Another way she changed was she changed her language and eventually was able to win the Spelling Bee. Also Linn didn’t like to lose and she didn’t like it when things didn’t go her way so she would hide and cry but in the end Prissy told her it was okay to lose as long as you try your hardest and do all that you can. Linn thought that if she didn’t do something right the soldiers would come to kill her. This story teaches me that even when I feel my world is falling apart someone will always be there to help and protect me.

Great Blog! I like how you tried to relate to the audience. The only thing is that there was a few grammar mistakes. Otherwise awesome blog!

Very well written and explained! The thing that I would change is that you had a run on sentence that could've been split up into two parts. Otherwise great writing!
