At the beginning, Prissy was unsure if she wanted to let the Yangs live in her house. It was a lot of responsibility and she wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to. She already had a daughter, and her husband traveled a lot. When the Yangs came to live with her and her family, she was a little stressed and didn’t have a lot of patience with them. Over time, she became to love them and care for them more, especially Linn. At the end of the story, She loved them like her own children. She also became more compassionate.
