 Questioning the Text Hello Readers! This week we are still discussing all of the ways to activate our brains while reading. One great way is to ASK QUESTIONS AND WONDER about the the text. Your assignment for the weekly blog is this: 1. Read independently, as usual. 2. Keep your brain activated by asking questions and wondering about the text and jot those down -STOP & JOTS (3-5 is a good amount for a 20-30 minute reading). 3. Collect at least 2 nights of stop-and-jots that focus on questioning the text. 4. gannonei am reading diary pof a wimpy kid dog days these are my four questions. Why did the dad get the dog for the famliy? What are they going to name the famliy dog? Did greg want to get a dog for the famliy? who in the famliy will be takeing care of the dog?

roylethis week I have started reading the second series to Percy Jackson and the Olympians. My book is The Heroes of olympus, book 1: The Lost Hero By: Rick Riordan. Some questions and wonders I have been having are 1: Why doesn't Jason remember anything? 2: Why is Leo so rude and immature? 3: What is up with Piper's dream? 4: Why was Dylan trying to kill Jason, Leo, and Piper? 5: Why is Coach hedge so nice, but strict? 6: What happened to Percy Jackson? jckeownIn class we have been learning about wondering and questioning and for our blog this week we were supposed to write 5 questions or wonders we made at home when we were independent reading so the book I am reading is School Of Fear by Gitty Daneshvari and my 5 questions were 1. Why are all the kids always bragging and fighting? 2. Why is Ms. Wellington so obsessed with Casu Frazigu ? 3.
