The best mystery I have ever read was in 4^th grade when I read Hugo, or something like that. (I can never remember the title) The author,  ( don’t know his name either) made the story very slow and like you needed to read the next part or the world would end!!!! Hahahaha!  
Ok here is my starter for a mystery....... The room was dark and I was freezing in that corner. I wanted so badly to get a drink of water that I was going insane, but I knew I couldn't, that thing across the room was starring at me like a hawk and hadn't stoped watching me  since 3 hours ago when it came. The urge to get water got stronger, and I knew that soon I would have no choice but to make a break for the kitchen. ....... Good?!? No?!?
