My Trip On the Mayflower
Dear Mom, November 11, 1620
Hi. How are you? Has anything interesting happened since I left? I hope you can come to the new land when and if we find it.

Storms have stated coming. Everyday someone says storms are coming. Down below it’s very damp. All we eat is biscuits, cheese, and salted pork. I hope the storms clear up. If the storms don’t die down, life will get a lot harder for the sailors.

The storms are horrible. We almost hit a rock. The waves were throwing us left and right. We tried to turn but the waves kept throwing us. It’s was horrible. The sailors could barley see. The captain spun to the left so hard the back almost flew off. The captain saved us.
It was amazing. I could barley breath. The storm died down but it was still raining. We kept sailing on. Then we heard someone say land ho. They set out a canoe and went to find a good spot.
The sailors just came back. We are going to get off the boat. Now we can eat fresh food, my clothes can get washed and I can drink fresh water. I’m excited! It’s amazing!
The End
