Mayflower Letter
September 15, 1620
Dear Aunt Sally,
I can’t believe I am on such a big adventure. I am also excited because I am going on the Mayflower. I am going to tell you what I did on the Mayflower. I hope you like this letter.
There was a huge storm the other night, so I have to go below deck. The storm was so strong the ship had a leak but it is ok because the sailors put a new post underneath so it can patch all the leaks.
The lightning was strong and struck the ship. The lightning also struck my father. We ran out of food and then we caught a fish. A man got washed overboard then he pulls a rope to safely.
Just when I thought my father was going, a miracle happened. The miracle is he gets up. My mother got sick so she has to rest to get better. There were so many people on the Mayflower. There are more then hundred people on the Mayflower.
I know we will reach land soon and I will be good. I really miss and I hope you get this letter. I hope I see you soon.
Sincerely,
Lisa
