my water polution 1.what is water pollution?Well ill tell you what water pollution is.It is a chemical and biological properties of water that has a detrimental consequence of living things is water pollution.But i have more to tell you.surface waters are the natural resourcesof the earth.Some plutans do not disolve in water as their molecules are to big to mix between the water molrcules.This material is called particulate matter and can often be a cause of water pollution.The suspended particals eventually settle and cause a thick silt at the bottom.This is harmful to marine life that lives on the floor of rivers or lakes.Biodegradeble substances are often suspended in water and can cause problems by incresing the amount of anaerobic microorganisms presnt.Toxic chemicals suspended in water can be harmful to the development and survival of aquatic life.well thats all.
2.What are some of the sources of water pollution?Oil pollution is one of the sources that im gonna tell you about.Oceans are polluted by oil.oil spills make up about 12% of the oil that enters the oceans.Oil spills can hurt the animals that live in the water.Oil can not disolve in the water.Oil spills cause a very local promlem but can be catastrophic to local marine wild life such as fish,birds,and sea otters.The second source im talking about is marine dumping.Did you know that glass takes so long to degrate that we dont know the exact time.Plastic pckiging takes 200 hundered years to degrate.card board takes 2 weeks to degrate.
3.What can be done to improve the quality of water after it has become polluted?Virtually all types of water pollution are harmful to the health of humans and animals.Heavy metals fromindustrial processes can accumulatein nearby lakes and rivers.These are toxic to marine life such as fish,shellfish subsequently to the humans who carcinogenic.Industrial waste often contains many toxic compounds that damage the health of aquatic animals and those who eat them.
4.What are some actions that can be taken to help prevent water from becoming polluted?By alowing for slow industry changes,water pollution contiues to be a growing problem.Water polltion prevention requires drastic and swift action water than a slow and progressive change.One of the main reasons why water pollutionis still such a threat to our planets healthis because the goverments of the world eather chose to ignore the pollution that business is responceable for or because they want to give businesses ten years to change their industry.
5.What are some actions that can be taken to help prevent water from becoming polluted?Many businesses find the much needed changes to be cost prohibitive and those givenmany years to become in complance with new water pollution prevention regulations.Some countries have refused to implement any regulations as proverty and joblessness seems to be a biger problem that the exerem pollutans that are reaching the waters of the world.Now that is all ive got hoped u liked it.
