HURRICANE FEVER “Kids,” mom said. “Grandma and aunt and uncle might loose power or get flooded in the hurricane so they are going to spend the night here.”

When they got to my house we did everything. We watched television, played the Wii, played some board games and, before you know it, we had dinner. My mom made pasta and salad and meatballs.

After dinner we played Scrabble. I lost, but it was fun. When me and my mom and dad and brother played Scrabble, my aunt and uncle and grandma watched a movie.

The hurricane was not so bad. Sleeping in the basement was not bad either. I hurt my back on the bed, but that was okay.

I just enjoyed spending time with my family.

Beebs!
Hurricane, shmericanne! What a dud that "hurricane" was! We slept in our basement, bought thousands of canned good, and all for what!? A bit of wind and rain! Oh, well, better that than a real storm, right?
