 Ben Fraklin Big Ideas Did you know that Ben Franklin published his own almanac named Poor Richards Almanac? It has a lot of information like the holidays, the weather forecast, when the moon will be full, the sun will be up and down. Ben wanted to prove that lighting and electricity are the same. He proved it by putting a rod on the top of a tower and let a man stand in the tower. Later he called the rod the lighting rod. Another of Ben Franklin's big ideas was to go to France and talked them into helping the United States fight England. Those were some of Ben Franklin's big ideas. Do you know any more?
