Currently, I’m reading Black-eyed Suzie by Susan Shaw. I’m amazed that I actually like this book, because usually I’m not a big reader. I like the way the author develops the characters in the book. You get a really good sense of who they are and what they are going through emotionally. I enjoy how the author builds suspense, for example when the main character, Suzie, finally admits that her mom abuses her. One thing that I don’t like though is the fact that the author is always switching from what’s happening in the past, to what is happening in the present. Overall, I really enjoy the book I’m reading and I can’t wait to learn what happens at the end.
