When I get nervous I try to get it over with as fast as possible and afterward say to myself ''that wasn't so bad.''

I do the same thing. For example, when I'm at a friend's house and I don't like the food we're having, I try and eat it really quickly before I have time to think about what I'm eating. Or, if somebody asked me a question that I didn't want to answer, I say the answer really quickly to get it over with. Usually it isn't as bad as I thought it would be.

I use this strategy a lot, and have found it particularly useful when there is something not enjoyable ahead. For example, when I have soccer in the rain or when I am performing a play in front of many people. I have found that time goes much faster when you don't look at the clock than when you are looking at the clock every three minutes. Then it seems like the activity or what not is over with much faster.

That is a nice strategy, I think that is a good thing to do because when you get it over with it will feel really good
