Red Scarf Girl PC
Red Scarf Girl overall is a book with many themes. One of these themes is “Even the Flawless Are Flawed.” This theme is self explanatory, it means that even if a person seems perfect, they still can make mistakes. I have known a few people who seem like this. One of my cousins, for example, always seemed to do everything right, then one day we took her fishing and she ended up crashing the boat and we couldn’t get it off. This relates to how Jiang Ji-Li thought Mao Zedong was perfect, but in the end he wasn’t.
Another important theme in the book is “Family should always come first.” I have witnessed another example of this when I had to go to my cousin’s wedding. That weekend I was invited to two different birthday parties and invited to go fishing. I ended up going to the wedding because my parents told me that I should always take family first. This relates to how Jiang Ji-Li had to decide between either her family or the government, and she couldn’t pick both. Jiang Ji-Li ended up picking her family because she knew that her family should come first.
Both of these themes are very important things that you should know in life. By knowing that “Even the Flawless Are Flawed” you know that you should never think of anybody as perfect. By knowing that “Family Should Always Come First” you know that no matter what happens, you should always make your family the first priority. These are two very important themes in the book “Red Scarf Girl”.
