Tender Hearts, River Of Tears

Tender hearts, river of tears.

Tender hearts are everywhere you look. Even in the criminals that line the streets or the people who have no homes and are fighting for survival.

Not everyone is born perfect.

Not every life is easy.

I believe that if we step our game up we can change everyone’s life.

I believe that the good, tender hearts can be freed.

I believe that the river of tears, that everyone has been crying, can finally be dried and barely used again, not because of fear, but because of happiness and stress and loss.

Crime will not happen as often as they do now, if we free the tender hearts.

Less people will be fighting to survive and will have a home, if we free the tender hearts.

More people will be having second thoughts about death and will choose to let the living live and let themselves live as well.

Love will overrule the hatred and put out the fire that hatred and racism have started.

Why can’t my dreams, of a better world, come true?

Why does every problem have to turn into a fight?

Why can’t we live in peace instead of fear?

Why can’t we look at the world through the eyes of peace instead of the eyes of hatred?

I want and hope to see a world living in peace and not fear and hatred, before I die or after I die.

Please do it for the sake of the world and the new generation.

Believe it or not, this was actually supposed to be a poem, a random clarity of my imagination, yadda, yadda, yadda. When I wrote the title, I knew I wanted it to be a poem. Problem was, I couldn’t think of a poem or anything poetic! So I just started writing something that went based on the title a little and BAM! I got this. Interesting isn’t it?

Kacie, You really are a talented writer! I will have my students respond, after we figure out how to use glogster. I saw your comments, don't know about the life and death choices, most of my most painful choices didn't involve such opposites, nor did my happiest moments. Life is like that, and it may seem more "life and death" when you're younger, which you are. I've said it before and I'll say it again - you'll have it so much easier in a few years when you're older! You won't be bullied, won't be commented on, you'll feel much stronger in yourself, and I can say this because not only have I seen it through the many years I've been alive, but I've watched my students change and evolve over the years, so take my word for it, the best is yet to come.
Sorry about your cat - some are lovey and some are lemons. Had two of those, too!

I think I made this in fifth grade; actually I’m pretty sure I did. Unbelievably, I actually did! Now that I think back, I remember feeling that the people who were being cruel to others and me had a heart in them that had used to be kind, but something had happened that made them scared and turned that heart into something that wasn’t so kind. I thought, if I could make them see that they can be kind and not have to worry anymore, maybe they would change. Maybe I would have seen a change and realized that I had done my job. Think you can help with that?

About the Blogger
I write almost everyday, and would never give it up. My latest story so far that I'm working on is going to be called Wanderer, but it is not even close to being finished and once it is, i still will have to edit it. I have won a novel contest, which I am so excited about because then all i have to do is edit the novel, find an editor and get it published. I hope to grow up to be an author. I like homework and school, but I do not like the stress of it all, which i find kinda strange. I do not work well in groups, all my teachers and close friends know this fact quite well. My nickname in a Manga club that I joined, located at the East Pikes Peak library, is Silence which fits me pretty well.
