Theme of "The Djinn Who Lives Between Night and Day"
Theme: No matter who you think you can trust, you might not always be able to trust them.
My theme applies to this story because Tayab and Al-Faq are Djinn's. At first Tayab seems like the nice one but then he tells this poor women who lost her childern if she went out and walked west kept walking till she could walk no more that her childern would be alive again. Which Tayab lied to the poor women. She was stuck out there she was told she was never to return so she lived out there. Then Al-Faq did the same thing to her husband and of course he followed his rules just to have his family back. But Al-Faq also lied but what he did that was different from Tayab was he went and whispered into the town peoples ears that the man was stranded out there and to bring him food and shelter.
It applies to live because people are like that in real life they lie to get a rise outta people and make them go do stupid things for there loved ones. So it shows just how cruel people are just for there own entertainment.
