The Djinn Who Lives Between Night and Day Theme.. Always keep hope in your heart even if what you are hoping for is unimaginable. This theme applies to the story because the man and woman who lost their children kept hoping that the Djinn followed through with what they said about bringing their loved ones back from the dead. In reality people need to keep hope in their heart for instance say a child is orphaned they will always hope to find another family to love them.
