Bump
This week in Math we learned a new game called Bump. Bump is a fun way to practice our addition skills and simple math facts. The students roll the dice and add the two numbers together. The fun begins when a player can bump another player off the game board. Ask your child to tell you more about it. Perhaps you can even make your own Bump game board to play at home! During ELA we are working on building our stamina for Read to Self. We are also working on our comprehension by retelling a story using basic story elements. The students learned how to use a Table on Contents and a little bit more about parts of speech using our Shape Up Grammar. The students can now identify a noun, verb, adjective and article. In SS we've been learning how to read a map's legend/key and compass rose. It's getting very busy in room 14! Where did September go?
