An important event that has happend in the Hobbit is that Smaug, the dragon, is dead! The man was named Bard. Smaug is covered in  some of his riches, but there is one spot on his belly that is bald, and that is the place Bard shot. Also, I recommend this book to all adventurous people. Also, after you read this book, read the Lord of the Rings books, if you liked this book.
