I wonder who else is out there

I hear cars in the distance

I see car lights at every corner

I want to explore every part of the world

I am a boy in the big world

I pretend I had lots of friends

I feel hungry every night and day

I touch the old buildings

I worry if they will fall

I cry because I am lonely and abandoned

I am a boy in the big world

I understand that praying doesn’t always help but I pray night and day night and day

I say to myself why am I alone but I really never am

I dream of having moms and dads but it is never true

I try to stay active and healthy every day

I hope someone will find me some day

I am a boy in the big world
