Welcome to Friday Writing. Each Friday you will find a writing prompt either posted here or on Ms. Brown's blog. (You can get to Ms. Brown's blog by clicking the Haultain Community School link at the left) These writing assignments are meant to be fun while improving your writing. Ms. Brown and I hope you will take a moment and read some of the responses of your peers. Please take the time to comment on another's blog. Make sure your comments are respectful and appropriate.

As a society we are concerned about our health. We are concerned about obesity in Canada. Some documentaries have warned people about eating too much fast food. (Supersize Me) Please write a paragraph about nutritious food. What is your favorite nutritious food? Why is it important to eat healthy? Why is maintaining proper weight a good idea?

I have included three different questions to get you thinking.
Stop and think! Brainstorm some ideas then pick some main ideas for your paragraph. Try to organize yourself by making a plan before you write your paragraph. (It will make it easier and your paragraph better to read) You are writing to inform.

I look forward to reading your writing Haultain students.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Mr. E
