Parkin (ginger cake)

12oz self raising flour

12oz oatmeal

8oz margarine

7oz sugar

1 tin golden syrup

3 tea spoon ginger

1 cup warm milk

method

1) put flour, oatmeal and sugar in bowl

2)rub in margarine

3)add ginger mix well

4)mix warm milk golden syrup

5)grease lined square baking tin

6)bake at 150 degrees

7)bake for 1 to 1.15 hours

You can put milk and golden syrup in to warm while the oven is heating up

1 oz is = 30 grams
