What a great week we have had. The students have been really focused and have done some great week.

This week we have been looking at different forms of poetry and the students have written some amazing  cinquains and haiku's  AND published them They are on our " Writer's wall," so do come in and take a look.

Maths is multiplication and division. Keep pushing the learning of basic facts and times tables.   Have fun playing snap the fact with your child.

Of course  the most important thing to mention is  THE ACTIVE BOARD, this amazing interactive board that we have received this week.  The students have transfered to it quickly and it is use ALL of the time. I even have to book a time to use my computer ( which it runs through)  It has been great seing the parents coming in and  trying it out. Please feel free to come in and try  it out. 

How does it enhance our teaching..? It doubles as a"black board" and we are able to have "work" or screens up and interact with them. We can write over, move text , highlight key areas... the use of it is endless.  FLIP charts are tasks and activities that support our learning and are very inteactive. It 's wonderful to see the inteaction of the students working independently with the tasks I have selected.

Homework is now in full swing again. This week Jazz has gone up the Waitaki Valley, past the Benmore and Aviemore Dams to Mt Cook.   Keep encouraging your student with their homework. Thank you
