Conditions of Use


Water Temperature is Cool

Q. What is the water quality parameter you are using to test Chimacum creek?


A. My water quality parameter is temperature. I had to test the water temp and then the air temp.


Q. How does your water quality parameter affect water quality?


A. If the water temp is to hot the salmon die or move to a differant location. If the water temp is to cold the salmon die or move to a differant location.


Q. How is water temperature measured?


A. I tested the water and air temp by pluging the temperature probe into my teams labquest, then I stuck the Probe into the water and took the water temp after that I took the air temp the same way.


Q. What are good levels of temperature?


A. A good water temperature does not exede 16 degrees celsuis.


Q. What are acceptable levels of water temperature


A. An acceptable water temperature does not exede 20 degrees celsuis.


Q. What are bad levels of water temperature?


A. A bad water temperature does not exede 23 degrees celsuis.


Q. How does temperature affect salmon?


A. If the tempature is to hot or to cold salmon will die or move to a warmer or cooler location.
