The Eye
Recently in class I have studied the eye. I had no idea that there was an eye part called the cornea, and that it protects the pupil, which lets in light! If you feel you're eyelid while your eye is closed, you can feel a bump. That's the cornea.once the light gets to your eye, it enters through the cornea. The iris keeps out unused light, and is the colored part of your eye. The light then goes through the lens which focuses the light. After this eye part, it passes through the retina. The retina contains rods and cones. The cones see color while the rods see black and white. The rods are at the edge of the retina, while the cones make up the center. There are three different types of cones, one that sees all colors, one that sees green, blue, and some purple, and one that sees blue. After the retina, it passes the optic nerve, and onward to the brain, all in less than a second. It's pretty amazing, once you think about it.
